TheRecipeManager has the ability to search on a recipe's ingredients. So if you have items left in the fridge and you don't know what to make, you can list them in TheRecipeManager and see what it suggests. You can list up to ten different ingredients.
From the recipe browser window, select the 'Advanced Search' button. Near the bottom of the advanced search window
there is a field that is titled 'Ingredient(s) (10 max - separate by space) Type in the ingredients that you wish
to search on. Once you have added the ingredients press the 'Search' button.
You can add single ingredients and hit the search button to gradually filter the recipe list down, or you can add all the ingredients (up to 10) that you wish to search on in one go.
To start a new search select the 'Clear' button to reset the recipe list to its original state.
You can also exclude ingredients, so you could search for recipes that do not include nuts.
To exclude an ingredient place the minus sign '-' in front of the ingredient that you do not wish to have in a recipe. You can create powerful searches by combining a list of ingredients you want to include with ingredients you wish to exclude. As an example you could use the following: water rice -peanut, to find a recipe which used water and rice, but not peanuts.
