After upgrading to the latest version 3 release of TheRecipeManager you may have a situation where you want to access your old recipe datafile (TRM.df1). Doing so is a quick process which just requires you to copy and rename the old file.
Firstly, quit TheRecipeManager. Then copy the recipe datafile you wish to access, probably TRM.df1 into the folder /Documents/TheRecipeManager User Data/Cookbooks
Then 'Right + Click' on the file TRM.df1 and select 'Get Info from the resultant context menu.
On the TRM.df1 Info window select the 'Triangle' on the 'Name & Extension' panel to show the complete name of the recipe datafile, including the extension.
Select the name of the file and change the .df1 extension to .ckbk.
You will be asked if you are sure that you want to change the extension, select the 'Use .ckbk' button.
You will know that this change has been made as the icon at the top of the Info window will be changed to a new cookbook icon.
This new Icon will also be used when you look at the cookbook in Finder.
Finally you can now relaunch TheRecipeManager and access your converted datafile from the cookbook library window.
